1. Forbidden Caverns

Sevierville’s Forbidden Caverns are some of the most spectacular caverns in Tennessee and the United States. “The Greatest Attraction Under The Smokies" is open seasonally every year from April through November. Feel like Indiana Jones as you wander around and see numerous sparkling rock formations, a crystal clear stream, and so much more! If you have any questions about the sights, a knowledgeable tour guide will be there to answer them. Another notable aspect of this attraction is that the temperature inside the caverns stays at a comfortable 58 ℉! This means visitors won’t have to worry about getting too hot or cold!

2. The Rainforest Adventures Discovery Zoo

The Rainforest Adventures Discovery Zoo is another one of the fun things to do in Sevierville, especially for animal lovers! This attraction is home to over 600 animals representing over 130 species that live in either tropical or temperate environments. One creature you might encounter is an axolotl. They are aquatic salamanders who are named after the Aztec god of fire and lightning. They have poor eyesight and use their strong sense of smell to find food. Axolotls prefer habitats with minimal light, so they mostly hide underwater. If you look close enough though, you may catch a glimpse of its inviting smile. Other animals you may see at the Rainforest Adventures Discovery Zoo include lizards, parrots, and scorpions.

3. SkyLand Ranch

Sevierville’s SkyLand Ranch is a great tourist attraction with lots of activities. Enjoy picturesque natural scenery from up high in the chairlift or down low in the open air safari truck. You will also love seeing SkyLand Ranch’s miniature animals, some of which include ponies and sheep! The attraction is also home to The Wild Stallion, the longest mountain coaster in the Southeast. Riders control their speed on the 1.25-mile track, so the car can go fast or slow. When all this activity works up an appetite, get a delicious meal at The Backyard! It is an area with many food trucks, so there is something for everyone! Before you leave, explore the shops to find some fun souvenirs and take a moment to enjoy the entertaining live music!

4. The Apple Barn Cider Mill and General Store

The Apple Barn has a long history. The green and white barn was built by the Mullendore family in 1910. Today, it sits as the centerpiece of a beloved Sevierville attraction. There is a lot to see and eat! Have a nice meal at the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant or Grill. They both have delicious dishes for every meal of the day! If you need a snack later on, have an apple dumpling or an apple cinnamon donut at the Cider Bar. Pair whatever you get with a refreshing glass of fresh apple cider! There is also a winery at this attraction where adult guests can taste delicious wines. Using apple cider as the base, it is then combined with other flavors. This makes for delicious options like Apple-Peach and Apple-Strawberry wines. Before you leave, make sure to get a fun souvenir at the General Store or the Christmas & Candle Shop. For example, take the sweet smell of apples home with an apple-scented candle. You may also want some delicious apple jam!
